“Just pleasure me,” she whispered, wrapping her legs around his waist.

“Pleasure you I will, my little flame,” he groaned before diving his tongue into her mouth, kissing her deeply. Her taste quenched the thirst in his throat. Why was his body on fire like this? The touch of a female never felt this damn good. None had ever set the fire in his blood on high like this before.

Her body was so plump and soft beneath him, Kapono couldn’t stop caressing and kneading her flesh. Tearing from her lips, he began licking and kissing her neck. The lower he went, the sweeter her flesh became. Her bouncy breasts were perked, seeking attention. Kapono heard himself growl before sucking one of the large lobes into his mouth, nibbling at her erect nipple. The moans that were escaping her throat made Kapono rock solid. His body was aroused beyond measure. He could not hold back any longer. His blood was raging too rapidly for him to handle himself. He was going to combust without fulfilling his desires.

Kapono reached in between their bodies. When he touched her petals, she was sopping wet, the heat steaming from her core evidence of her own need. Kapono plunged his fingers into her moist heat. She didn’t need any more prep from him. Her body was ready to take him in. When he pressed his tip against her, Ashbel clutched both of his arms.

“I’m not going to hurt you,” he whispered, leaning down to kiss her. Ashbel was breathing heavily, anticipating what would come next. Kapono continued to kiss her, expertly distracting her from any nervousness.

Feeling the slight push inside of her, Ashbel tore from his lips and moaned out. She was clutching his arms so tightly; her nails began to draw blood from his skin. Kapono shrugged her hand from his arm. He laid it flat next to her head and clasped his hand in hers. She was struggling to look down at where their bodies were beginning to connect but Kapono didn’t allow her to continue looking.

“Look into my eyes little flame,” he coaxed her. Ashbel swallowed hard before lifting her head to gaze into his eyes. When she saw the intensity of his gaze, it triggered the magic of her dragon power to flourish to life. Her fangs began to elongate as fire churned through her gut. He shrugged her other hand from his shoulder and laid it flat against the bed as well, clasping their hands together. Pinning her hands down at each side of her head should have felt uncomfortable, but his control made Ashbel feel at ease.

Kapono pressed his hips forward, sliding smoothly into her tight sheathe, connecting their bodies. Ashbel screamed, her eyes turning bright orange to match the fiery color of her hair. It lit up the room around them.

“Tell me if you need me to stop,” Kapono growled as he continued to thrust his hips forward dutifully. He continued to hold her hands down, but made sure that by interlacing their fingers, she didn’t feel pinned down. She clutched onto his hand, yelping out with each forward thrust. Kapono glared down at her, the reaction of her body to his, and the soft sounds that escaped her mouth powering the efforts of his hips moving against her. She was so beautiful. Especially the way her eyes burned orange at his touch. Any man’s pride would be stroked. Deepening his thrust, he felt the membrane protecting her womb tear at his entry, allowing him to sink wholly and completely into her. Ashbel’s eyes fluttered close, taking away the bright orange light around them. A moan trapped in her throat.

“Kapono,” she sang, gasping as he filled her body.

  “Yes?”

“I feel—I feel—” Kapono changed the dance of his hips, curling and rolling his hips. Her eyes shot open again, glaring directly into his eyes.

“Pleasure,” she called out. Gritting his teeth, Kapono fought the urge to give into the trembling of her insides. She was so heated, perfect for a man of dragon descent. Even her orgasm was hot, shooting fiery liquid onto his dick as he grinding within her. Her body was beginning to spark, the pleasure causing a reaction of her power. The sparks went off like tiny fireworks inside of her sheathe, shocking Kapono’s dick. Grunting, he slammed into her and stopped, savoring the shocks of fire licking at him from within her. He threw his head back, closing his eyes as the pleasure consumed him.

“Kapono. More,” she growled deeply, squeezing his hand. Kapono pulled one of his hands from her grasp. He wrapped her leg around his arm and took a handful of her supple bottom. When he began to thrust again, he drew her close to his body, making the meeting of their bodies impactful. Ashbel made mewling sounds, crying out as her body spewed its pleasure. Kapono rested his forehead against hers, breathing heavily.

“I think—I want you, Ashbel,” he groaned. With her free hand, she clutched the side of his face.

  “I am your wife, Kapono.”

“That’s not what I mean Ashbel. You are my wife because of politics. And you say you won’t fall in love with me. But—I am starting to want you. To crave you. Beyond what the politics have made us do. Do you understand me?” he thrusted inside of her, grunting as his own release reared its head.

“I won’t ever mistreat you. You’ll not only be the queen for Emberdom, but you’d be my queen. And I will cherish that. I’m warning you Ashbel. If you make me fall in love with you, then I will make you fall just as hard in love with me too.” Ashbel’s eyes began to roll to the back of her head. She closed her eyes for a moment to gather her wits so she could look the man who she was sharing her body with in the eye.

“If love blossoms Kapono. I will not deny it,” Ashbel said firmly.

“Are you ready to take my seed within your body?” his voice was a deep rumble that vibrated through to her core.

  “I’m ready,” she moaned.

“It will be hot. Almost too hot as if you’re being burned, but I promise it will not hurt you,” he breathed.

“Fill me. Let our bodies truly be one. Let this union be the start of a new life. Give me your child Kapono,” Ashbel cried out, feeling her insides begin to collapse with immense pleasure. The shocks of fire from her power became rampant, orange sparkles of fire zinging out from all around her body.

Connecting gazes once more, the orange flame of her eyes, ignited the violet flame of his eyes. Fire erupted amongst both of their bodies as they screamed out together. Their releases were triggered at the same time. Ashbel’s scream became high pitched as Kapono’s release poured into her. It was like hot lava, coating her insides and nesting in her uterus like a still river. Ashbel had heard stories from her attendant’s and other women around her clan that the release of a dragon blood male was hot as lava just as much as their blood was hot. Despite the heat of her own body, Ashbel felt the difference of Kapono’s heat within her. It was different but it was oddly comforting as if it was just meant to be there.

Settling down from the high, they breathed heavily as they gazed upon each other. All the while, Ashbel could feel the warmth of his release settled nicely in her uterus.

“Did you mean it? All that you said?” she breathed. Kapono nodded.

“Every word.” Ashbel smiled at him, still keeping her hand on his face and her leg wrapped around him. She looked between their bodies where they were still connected. With the heat of his release still fiery within her uterus, she had an inkling that her first time would be the only time they would need to fulfill their promises to the kingdom and their parents.

“More tea Madam?” Ashbel put her hand out and shook her head at her attendant. The woman doted heavily on Ashbel for every minute of every day.

“No, thank you Sera,” Ashbel smiled at her. Sera nodded and cleaned up the silverware and the tea cups. As she did so, she stole glances at Ashbel. Although Ashbel was going to be the queen, the woman did not treat any of the servants or attendants with disrespect and she was very kind.

“Sera, do you have a loved one?” Ashbel asked her. Sera smiled.

“No, I do not. At least not yet,” she smiled.

“Not yet?! Who is this man?” Ashbel wanted to know.

“He does not live in Emberdom, but he resides in Fireland. We met when I took a journey to visit my parents. We have not declared our feelin
gs but day in and day out we send letters to each other.”

“Oh, so that is what you read when you sit in the corner over there. I had no idea! Is he of dragon blood? And are you eager to start a family? Get married?” Sera couldn’t help but blush.

“Yes. He writes the sweetest of letters. He is not of dragon blood. He is a hellhound. I do not mind this of course. I began working for the king and queen because my family desperately needed money and I was young and agile enough to help care for them. Only thing is, I have grown to care for the other attendants and servants and the royal family we serve so I have not wanted to leave the castle. But if my hellhound proposes to me, I will flee to the ends of the earth with him. He says soon he will be ready to settle down and have a family. Right now, he owns a shop. He uses his firepower to make swords and weapons. In fact, most of the royal army uses his swords. That’s how well he makes them.”

“Don’t spend too much time here Sera. If he calls, you had better go running,” Ashbel encouraged her.

“How are things with Prince Kapono, Madam?” Ashbel was quiet for a moment. She was not sure how things were with them. Two weeks after he’d taken her virtue, they made love consistently. Waking up to him every day made her smile, and she smiled even more when she was able to sleep on his chest at night. Ashbel was just worried about differentiating her feelings. Was she falling for him? Or was she falling for his seduction and the sex? Since he was her first, Ashbel did not know that so many feelings could arise from sharing your body with someone. Not to mention that she knew what was coming. She could feel the warm throbbing of her uterus and knew without a doubt Kapono’s seed was taking growth within her.

“I am with child,” Ashbel finally spoke. Sera nearly dropped the delicate teacup.

“But please, tell no one!” Ashbel added.

“How—how do you know Madam?! Your wedding night was only two weeks ago!” Sera gasped.

“I can feel it. I’ve heard it being described to me before, but the actual feeling is nothing like that. My womb is hot and throbbing. I can feel the tremendous heat of a building fire. Right here.” Ashbel touched her abdomen.

“My scent has not yet changed because the babe is not developed completely, but I can feel it. In another two weeks my babe will start to grow and my scent will change. Then I suppose Kapono will know right away. For a prince, his senses are sharp. Too sharp. Like someone trained for battle.”

“This is exciting news my lady. Is there anything you want?”

“Actually. There is. Let us go for a walk. And we can pick up a sweet treat.”

“But my lady you cannot leave the castle without a royal guard!”

“Sera, I have walked these streets time and time again. This is my home. And we are in a time of peace. Besides, I’ll be with you. Not completely alone.” Sera quickly bowed.

“As you wish my lady. We shall have a good walk.”

Kapono rubbed his eyes as he leaned against the wall in his father’s study. He forced himself not to yawn as he listened to the elder’s bicker back and forth.

“How well do you suppose we are ranked between all the kingdoms in Kosmos? I believe the kings and queens of the other three lands have thought about launching an attack. I’ve heard rumors of melding all the lands together and that in itself will be war. We need to jump the gun. We should make the first move!” The pesky elder always only spoke of rumors. He was afraid of the kingdom being attacked so he always wanted to be the first to make a move.

“Drake. Please. There will be no war. And we have assured the kingdom is safe with Kapono and Ashbel’s marriage.” Drake grunted.

“No one believes those two are married out of love.”

“The only thing that matters is that we are wed,” Kapono spoke up. He instantly became irritated. Something about Ashbel being judged made his fire flare to life in his gut.

“And what of a babe? Can’t you produce?” Drake asked. Kapono snapped his fingers. In a small snap, his hand was engulfed in his purple flame. He did it as a way to display the strength of his fire.

“I do not fault you for your confusion Drake. As you have no children yourself. But Ashbel and I were married two weeks ago. And we have explicitly waited until our marriage to bed each other. It takes a month for the conception of a babe. There are four weeks in one month. Seen as I have been bedding Ashbel for only two weeks, if she is with child no one but her would know until a full month is complete. Do you understand? Or shall I explain it some more?” Kapono questioned.

“Don’t be mouthy with me boy. You’d just better hope she carries that baby well!” Kapono’s eyes brightened with fire.

“Kapono. No!” Killeon demanded. Drake backed away, trembling slightly. Kapono snapped his fingers again, making his fire flare up so large it touched the ceiling.

“You dare talk about my wife like that again, and I will incinerate you,” Kapono threatened. Drake knew it was not an empty threat. All he could do was nod and stand in silence. Kapono killed his fire and continued standing against the wall with his arms crossed. He stayed quiet for the remainder of the meeting; brooding. The fact that another male had disrespected Ashbel made his gut churn with frustration. It seemed that because their marriage was arranged, it gave people an excuse to disrespect their union. Kapono did not like it.

The moment the meeting was done for, Kapono was the first to exit the study. He knew his father would most likely lecture him about threatening an elder but for the moment, Kapono did not care. He would take his lecture later. Now, he needed to get away from the politics. In the hall, Kapono inhaled Ashbel’s scent immediately. Hm. She smelled heavenly.

“Lady Ashbel. Pleasant to see you.” As was traditional, the males that left the study all stopped to greet Ashbel. Kapono growled with jealousy. He hadn’t even gotten to greet his own wife before other men did. She smiled at them pleasantly and accepted their kisses on her hand. Kapono noticed she was dressed as if she was leaving the castle.

“Are you going somewhere, Ashbel?” he asked her.

“Me and Sera are going for a walk,” Ashbel replied.

  “Alone?”

“We’re not alone. We are with each other.” Kapono put his hands behind his back.

“You are well aware that is not what I meant. Change of your plans. We are going back to our suite this moment,” Kapono told her. Ashbel looked him up and down.

“No. I am going out with Sera.” There was a slight gasp from the men that still hovered around them. Kapono grinded his teeth. This was the mouthy attitude of Ashbel that Kapono did not like. At least, he did not like it in public.

“Ashbel,” Kapono said her name in a warning tone. Her gold eyes flared to life.

“You have been in meetings all day Kapono and left me alone in the suite to doddle around. And now I want to have some free time to do as I please and you are changing those plans?”

“I can not help my duties. But remember Ashbel that as my wife, you have a duty to me. Do not refuse time with me.”

“And your duty to me? Do you even stop by and check on me throughout the day? Sera spends more time with me and last time I checked she is not my husband. You are.” Kapono’s ears ran hot. He could sense the stares of the royal elders and their disapproving grunts.

“Well. I apologize dear. I need to keep your needs in mind. I think a kiss to show my sincerity is in order,” Kapono said. Ashbel closed the distance between them. Kapono leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers loosely. He spoke lowly against her lips.

“If you take one more step to leave this castle, I will embarrass you just as you have embarrassed me in the way you speak to me. Turn around. Go back to the suite.” Ashbel tore her lips from his and glared at him. She thought her eyes were fierce but Kapono’s eyes were smoldering. Any words she could have tossed at him lodged in her throat simply because of his stare. He stared at her for a moment longer before turning around and looking at the elders.

  “Goodnight,” he bowed
to them. Without waiting for an answer, he turned away from the elders and approached Ashbel once more. He placed his arm around her hips and forced her to walk by his side in the opposite direction. Ashbel was stiff as she let Kapono led her away. She’d seen her husband smile, laugh, be frustrated, and he was even gentle with her. But anger? She’d never seen Kapono angry. Seeing the way fire burned in her eyes actually scared her. What was he going to do?

“Sera. Leave us,” Kapono ordered the moment they entered their suite. Sera hesitated for a moment.

“I—have you everything you need?” she questioned.

“We will be fine for the night Sera. Please leave. I will not ask again.” Sera quickly left. She did not want to fight against the fire brewing in the prince’s eyes.

“What is this all about?” Ashbel questioned.

“Please go into the bedroom and disrobe,” he told her.

  “Kapono—”

“Ashbel. Tonight, you’re going to learn a very valuable lesson.”

  “Pardon me?”

“I told you that as your husband I would respect you because that is how a man should treat his wife. I asked that you return that respect. But there you were, in front of my elders mouthing off to me because I refused to let you out of the castle, at sundown by yourself with just an attendant. You have mistaken my gentleness with you for weakness Ashbel.” Ashbel blinked at him.

“So—so what? You’re going to hit me to prove your point?”

“No one said anything about hitting you Ashbel. Such acts against a women aren’t needed. I asked you to disrobe. Why am I still staring at you fully clothed?” Ashbel didn’t even know how to respond. Her lower belly was rumbling with the same knots she always had when Kapono touched her. It was as if her body could not deny him no matter what her mind told her. And now, even in his state of anger that still did not deter her body from wanting him. In fact, in made her stomach rumble even harder, knotting with so much angst and temptation she couldn’t hold herself up.

“You mouth off to me, and you ignore me. Wow. You are one hell of a woman.”
